Sump Pump Backup Power

Protect your basement from flooding. Our customers tell us that having backup power for their sump pump provides them with peace of mind as they no longer worry about the power going out in the middle of the night or while they are away from home. Even if you already have a generator, this backup power unit is ideal for those crucial first hours before the generator is up and running.

Also, many insurance companies will provide a discount on your home insurance when a backup power system is purchased for your sump pump.

PowerHub 1800
The PowerHub 1800 is the ideal backup power system for 1/4 HP, 1/3 HP and 1/2 HP sump pumps. This unit can be easily set up by simply plugging the unit into the wall and provides significantly more runtime than other similar systems on the market as it includes one 100 amp hour battery (with the option of using up to four x 100 amp hour batteries). The PowerHub 1800 is a robust system that can also be hardwired if desired and can even be charged by solar or wind power.

Just plug your sump pump into the unit and it will automatically switch to the unit’s backup power when a power outage occurs. When grid power returns, the backup power unit switches the sump pump back to utility power and recharges its internal battery for the next blackout. Using sealed deep cycle batteries as the power source, this backup power unit is quiet, safe and maintenance free.

Note: With a battery backup system, it is important that the batteries used have been specifically designed for backup power and are in good condition when purchased. The effectiveness of batteries can be severely compromised if they are allowed to sit for long periods of time without being charged. For this reason, we get new batteries in every few weeks to ensure that our batteries do not sit in our warehouse before being shipped to our customers.
