Solar Backpack Goes 'round the World
Testimonial from Hap Wilson, Wilderness Guide and Eco-tourism Consultant
Sep 24, 2006 --

I've been field-testing outdoor gear for various companies over the past 30 years.  Every once in a while you come across an item that stands out from the rest - for quality, practical application, and durability. The Eclipse Solar Gear pack exceeded my expectations, especially for its versatility as a daypack, in the field, or while traveling to and from wilderness locations.  I used the solar power function to top-up my cell phone and gps while on a month-long mountaineering trip in New Zealand, and again while canoeing above the arctic circle on the Coppermine River in Canada.  Wherever I went, people were impressed by the look of the pack, and the funky photo-voltaic panel commanded a lot of inquiries.  I liked the way the pack was compartmentalized and it withstood a lot of abuse out in the field.  I use it now as my daypack while working at the new Muskoka Red Leaves Resort where I am constructing 60 km. of wilderness trails in their 700 acre Nature Reserve. As an environmental activist I can attest to the need for more products like this, and highly recommend the solar gear pack (and accessories) to those discriminating outdoor enthusiasts.
