The Pump Mate Series is designed to keep sump pumps up to and including 3/4 HP running in the event of a power failure.
After mounting to the wall if desired, just plug the sump pump into the Pump Mate, then the Pump Mate into a wall outlet. When a power outage occurs, the sump pump will operate off the battery power in the Pump Mate. When grid power returns, the Pump Mate automatically recharges its internal battery for the next blackout.
Using sealed batteries as the power source, the Pump Mate is a quiet, safe and maintenance free backup power system. All Pump Mate models can either sit on the floor or be mounted on the wall.
The Manufacturer (UPSforLESS) estimates that the SP 1000 will provide a 6-12 hour runtime based on a ½ HP pump cycling 12 times per hour. However it is important to note that runtime will vary based on many factors including sump pump age, model, etc.
For a longer runtime, Battery Packs (Mate Expansions -MATE-EXP) can be added to the PUMP MATE 1000 to increase the runtime. The following Pump Mate models are available:
